Professor Real Estate Suzanne Hollander on Supermarkets incresae Property Value

Supermarkets are super for neighborhoods + property values! People like the convenience of living near them.  In Downtown Miami, we welcome the opening of a new Supermarket, Publix at 17th and Biscayne! Check it out in this 1 minute video!

September 2012, I’ll discuss this at National Finance Conference with Wal-Mart and Stiles, the Developer for Publix – Let me know if you’d like more info!

I bet you notice lots of apartments, condos, homes and businesses like beauty salons, banks, boutiques, movies near Supermarkets in your neighborhood.

The reason is that Supermarkets are magnets for business, jobs and traffic!  Everyone (of all ages) is attracted to visit the Supermarket!

This constant activity spills over into traffic and business for neighbor properties.  It also contributes to a neighborhood feel, fabric (the warm and fuzzy stuff) and generates business, jobs and increased property values (the important economic and real estate stuff)!

We see this in Miami.  The 26,000 Downtown neighbors within 1 to 3 miles of our new Supermarket, finally have an easy place to shop and get together within minutes from where they live!

Many Downtowners live close enough to walk and leave their cars at home!  Some Downtowners will buy or rent property to open new businesses here and benefit from the magnet effect of the Supermarket.

I’m here to answer your questions or if you’d like more info on any of these properties.
